Lake Louise Mountain Resort offers Torchlight Dinner

It has already been an exciting season here at Lake Louise Mountain Resort. With tons of great snow and exciting events such as the Fairmont Chateau Sports Invitational, this is the place to be. We would like to take the time to thank all those involved with the Sports Invitational for such a wonderful event.

One of the most unique events that Lake Louise has to offer is the experience of our torchlight dinners. This adventure is a memorable one that occurs throughout the season and can be enjoyed by both visitors and locals alike. The evening begins at 4:00 p.m. at the mid-mountain Whitehorn Lodge with an après-ski party complete with hot appetizers, cash bar, and live entertainment featuring local favorites “Suds.”

At 5:30 p.m. the buffet dinner begins with the famous and always entertaining “parade of the flaming Alberta Hip of Beef.” To complete the buffet, our talented chefs put out an impressive array of salads, seafood, pastas, chicken or fish, vegetable entrees, and decadent desserts. It is truly a memorable dining experience as you watch the sun set over the Canadian Rockies.

After dinner, the fun continues with dancing and interactive activities until approximately 8:00 p.m. Finally, everyone is outfitted with a headlamp and guided by Lake Louise staff down a freshly groomed run back to the base. The run is lined with flares and makes for a one-of-a-kind vision and memory.
